Over 60 companies prepare for the AdNews Challenge
Entries for the AdNews Challenge have well and truly taken off, with over 60 companies signed up to the team competition.
Meanwhile, eight brave souls have opted to compete individually, taking on all four legs of running, biking, swimming and kayaking by themselves.
AdNews editor-in-chief Paul McIntyre denies claims he will be completing all four legs, calling the rumours "bullshit".
Online editor David Blight, who, along with print editor Damian Francis, showed his softness by choosing not to participate in the sponsor training session, has been signed up as an individual.
"My girlfriend is making me do boot camp," Blight said.
Team names so far are a mixed bag. 'Clemenger BBDO Sydney' was apparently the best name a creative agency could come up with, but special mention goes to 'The Newspaper Jerks', 'The Match Makers', 'The Pearman Punishers' and the 'dmg Barracudas'.
Don't forget to sign up for the team fundraising competition at Everyday Hero. $1,190 has been raised so far, with the 'AdNews Addicts' currently on top. Get involved and raise money for MAYDAY, supporting Australia's young people in need.
Registrations are now open for The AdNews Challenge, the new corporate fitness and Charity event for the advertising, marketing and media industries. The event will take place on Sunday 18 November at Clifton Gardens Reserve, Sydney.
